Working with Field Info

You can specify the field information to associate with each of the content items that are generated from the input report. Each Field Info item's value is made from one or more chunks. Each chunk is one of these:

Setting Field Information

To set field information, perform these tasks:

  1. From the Blueprint Manager screen, select Edit—Add Blueprint or Edit—Edit Blueprint.

The Edit New Blueprint or Edit Blueprint screen is displayed.

  1. Select the Field Info tab.

  1. Add or edit field info.

Adding Field Info

  1. Click Add.

The Add Field Info Item screen is displayed.

  1. Choose the new field name from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click OK.

The Edit Field Info Item screen is displayed for the new field info item.

  1. Add a chunk to specify the method for populating the field.

  2. Click OK on the Edit Field Info Item screen.

  1. Click Save to save your changes to the current blueprint.

Editing Field Info

  1. From the Field Info tab, select an item from the list, and click Edit.

  2. The Edit Field Info Item screen is displayed.

  3. Add or edit a chunk.

Adding a Chunk

  1. Click Add Chunk to specify the method for populating the field.

The Add Chunk screen is displayed.

  1. Select either String, Extracted, or Content Item Sequence and enter the corresponding criteria.

  1. After you have specified the appropriate criteria, click OK.

Editing a Chunk

  1. Select the Chunk Type to modify, and click Edit Chunk.

The Edit Chunk for Field Info Item screen is displayed.

  1. Make the necessary changes, then click OK.

  2. Click OK on the Edit Field Info Item screen.

  3. Click Save to save your changes for the current blueprint.
