Options

Field

Description

Separator Line Type

This option controls the string representation of a line that is inserted in the output documents, for example, between header and body, or to indicate the location of a soft or hard page break.

  • None: No line will be used as a separator

  • Blank Line: Space, or an empty line is used as a separator

  • Form Feed: ASCII character 12 (also known as the "form feed" character, "control-L", and "\u000C") is used.  In old, ASCII-controlled line printers (or in software emulating one), the form feed character is interpreted as start a new page.

  • Pattern: The literal string will be used as a separator line, repeating until the separator width is reached. Generally, use asterisks (*) or dashes (-).

  • String: A literal string is used as a separator line. It is not repeated.

Literal String

The actual text or symbol pattern to use as the separator line.

Separator Width

The width of the separator line.
